Our Story

EduAvenues was founded in 2018 by Neil Kothari, a TJHSST alum who wanted to build the prep program he wished his family had when he was going through admissions. Over the last eight years, the team has grown into the largest TJHSST prep center in the country — sending 140+ students to TJ in each of the last two cycles — and has expanded to Academies of Loudoun admissions, private school admissions, and college advising.

NCSSMPrep is the natural next step: the same admissions expertise, now focused on the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. NCSSM is consistently ranked America's #1 public high school, with an acceptance rate around 15%. The application isn't a single timed test — it's essays, evaluations, transcript context, and Discovery Day math. Families don't need weekend cram sessions. They need coaches who know what NCSSM is actually looking for.

What We Do Differently

Most NCSSM prep today is either generic essay editing or a checklist of tips you can find online. We do something different:

• We know the admissions process. Our team has spent years reading admissions decisions, working with admitted students, and refining what actually moves the needle at residential magnet schools.
• We give real feedback. Not "looks good!" — specific, substantive edits that make essays stronger.
• We practice the published Math Assessment format. 25 timed, 30-question, no-calculator tests train both the math and the pacing.
• We stand behind our work. Our Admit Guarantee Package refunds your tuition if your student isn't admitted after completing the program requirements. Terms apply.

NCSSM admits students from across North Carolina. Whether you're in Wake County, Mecklenburg, Guilford, Forsyth, Durham, Orange, or anywhere else in the state, we work with families remotely — all coaching is virtual so geography isn't a constraint.
